Hostal Splendid - Gran Via - Madrid

Is a nice place, clean, well located and the owner is so kind. We have a excellent stay

Although the value for money was good considering the type of Hotel, I would not ever stay at that Hostel again. It was too noisy inside as the floor creaked,The wall were thin,hence when the adjacent bathroom was flushed one would always hear morning or night and this would keep you up. The owner and the night security were accommodating but the cleaner was not entirely friendly. The bed was too narrow for me and there were no individual pillows.l had difficulty sleeping.

Only its close proximity to the restaurants and stores.

The hostel was on the Gran via so it was close to everything. However also very noisy b/c of the hustle and bustle that is Madrid. The staff was friendly and there was always a night watchman after 11, whitch made us feel safe.

Id say the beds were a bit uncomfortable and the rooms could have used a small refridgerator (or one for all the guests).

Very friendly staff, very good location..

My room was unenlightened, the only window faced the tiny and dark courtyard and was situated directly opposite to the window of the other room, which was uncomfortable. Flooring and pipes work very loud.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The rooms are modest and small but quite sufficient when your goal is to see Madrid and mostly stay outdoors.

Location, clean and cheap enough.

Nobody speaks English, noise from neighbors and the hallway.

Hostal Splendid is located on Calle Gran Via, one of the most traffic noisy street of Madrid but my room window was on a quiet backyard => perfect
